26th july the day that was

The day began on a pretty good note. I had an off so got up at around 10 am, had watched die hard the night before, it's a pretty cool movie but is running really short on logic, you have Bruce Willis going around shooting down helicopters with a car! but I must say the effects are sometimes overwhelming like the one inside the tunnel. All I have is one question is Mr. John a mutant or something that he can do everything and not be hurt fatally, looks like our Hollywood has also emulated bollywood and so here's Die hard in response to our very own Big brother which is not even worth talking about. With these thoughts I had gone to sleep.

Since I had nothing to do, I decided to go home, so I moved towards the bus stop at sector 37, after maybe half an hour a bus finally came, I boarded it and got off at Anand vihar. I wanted to get on an A/C bus for meerut but as the case is with me, all that I could see were those local buses lining up behind each other.
I reached meerut at 1 PM and as usual a power cut was on and to add to my misery it was an awfully humid day. I really have no idea why it is so but somehow the people of meerut have learnt to live without power between 8am to 2pm . This power cut has been happening since over 5 years continuously. What this has done is that it has prompted a change in the normal day to day functioning of people, so we have electricians opening their shops in the afternoon and people completing their daily chores before 8 in the morning. The only times this cut does not happen is when some V.I.P is in town or an election is approaching.

Finally the electricity came at 2 and guess what was the first thing I did, I switched on the T.V and I tuned in to a news channel and what was it playing, a Desi version of Nat Geo's Amazing videos, except the fact that they had their own irritating sound effects superimposed on the original one so there we had a tiger growling non stop, I mean common now there's a word worst but how do you describe such stuff which even worst can't describe, after getting fed up , I switched off the T.V and did the next best thing, I slept............
