Well my day today started really early, I had slept at around 12:30 and my mobile started screeching at around quarter to 4. That was my cab calling, looked like I was going to be late for work again.
OK, so now before going any further let me just update you about little somethings about me. I have had a pretty normal childhood, had my own share of sorrows and some moments of happiness too. I guess people are right in saying that you should watch your steps in adolescence because they might just haunt you for the rest of your life. Well i did not take there advice and contrary to the popular opinion of everyone, I decided to do a course in engineering, so everything started falling into place, coaching classes and other study material was subscribed to. As luck would have it, I got a fairly decent rank in the entrance exam and I went all alone for the counselling and committed my biggest blunder till date. I chose to do my engineering in Electronics, now for people having more less no technical knowledge this is a hallowed branch, if only one would look at those poor students watching enviously as students from computer science and Information tech. roam around in the fields and these poor things have to attend lectures, tutorials and laboratories and what not, but what happens in the end, It is the latter who walk away with most of the placements because India reportedly has a booming IT industry.
So what do the lesser mortals do, they shift from their field and move to the IT sector which is what I too have done. So here I am forgetting everything I learnt about Circuits and trying to get hold of the programming languages. Guess life's isn't that easy after all. So here I am working in an IT firm gaining some valuable months of experience that will help me in holding my ground sometime in the future.
